well, we were just another band out of boston
on the road to try to make ends meet
playin' all the bars, sleepin' in our cars
and we practiced right on out in the street
no, we didn't have much money
we barely made enough to survive
but when we got up on stage and got ready to play
people came alive.
rock and roll band
everybody's waitin'
gettin' crazy
anticipating love and music
play, play, play, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
dancin' in the streets of hyannis
we were getting pretty good at the game
people stood in line and didn't seem to mind
you know everybody knew our name
livin' on rock-n-roll music
never worried 'bout the things we were missing
when we got up on stage and got ready to play
everybody'd listen.
rock and roll band
everybody's waitin'
gettin' crazy
anticipating love and music
play, play, play, yeah, yeah
playin' for a week in rhode island
a man came to the stage one night
he smoked a big cigar
and drove a cadillac car
and said, "boys, i think this band's outta-sight
sign a record company contract
you know i've got great expectations
when i hear you on the car radio
you're gonna be a sensation!"
rock and roll band
everybody's waitin'
gettin' crazy
anticipating love and music
play, play, play, yeah, yeah

Moody Blues - I'm Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_J-hmyAS6c
i'm just a wandering on the face of this earth
meeting so many people
who are trying to be free
and while i'm traveling i hear so many words
language barriers broken
now we've found the key
and if you want the wind of change
to blow about you
and you're the only other person to know, don't tell me
i'm just a singer in a rock and roll band
a thousand pictures can be drawn from one word
only who is the artist
we got to agree
a thousand miles can lead so many ways
just to know who is driving
what a help it would be
so if you want this world of yours
to turn about you
and you can see exactly what to do
please tell me
i'm just a singer in a rock and roll band
how can we understand
riots by the people for the people
who are only destroying themselves
and when you see a frightened
person who is frightened by the
people who are scorching this earth, scorching this earth
i'm just a wandering on the face of this earth
meeting so many people
who are trying to be free
and while i'm traveling i hear so many words
language barriers broken

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3P7xlVhqJM
here come the jesters, 1 2 3
it's all part of my fantasy
i love the music
and i love to see the crowd
dancing in the aisles,
and singin' out loud . . . yea
here come the dancers, one by one
your momma's callin' but you're having fun
you find your dancin' on the number 9 cloud
put your hands together now, and sing it out loud
it's all part of my rock and roll fantasy
it's all part of my rock and roll dream
it's all part of my rock and roll fantasy
it's all part of my rock and roll dream
put out the spotlights, one and all,
and let the feelin'get down to your soul
the music's so loud, you can hear the sound
reaching for the sky, churnin' up the ground
it's all part of my rock and roll fantasy
it's all part of my rock and roll dream

Ac/Dc - Rock n Roll Ain't Noise Pollution
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx2etzS4Y7Q
hey there all you middle men
throw away your fancy clothes
and while you're out sittin' on a fence
so get off your arse and come down here
cause rock 'n' roll ain't no riddle man
to me it makes good good sense
good sense yeah let's go
heavy decibels are playing on my guitar
we got vibrations comin' up from the floor
we're just listenin' to the rock
that's givin' too much noise
are you deaf you wanna hear some more
we're just talking about the future
forget about the past
it'll always be with us
it's never gonna die
never gonna die
rock 'n' roll ain't noise pollution
rock 'n' roll ain't gonna die
rock 'n' roll ain't noise pollution
rock 'n' roll it will survive
yes it will
i took a look inside your bedroom door
you looked so good lyin' on your bed
well i asked you if you wanted any rhythm and love
you said you wanna rock 'n' roll instead
we're just talking about the future
forget about the past
it'll always be with us
it's never gonna die
never gonna die
rock 'n' roll ain't noise pollution
rock 'n' roll ain't gonna die
rock 'n' roll ain't noise pollution

Bob Seger n The Silver Bullet Band - Old Time Rock n Roll
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsSVcRYh8dE
just take those old records off the shelf
i sit and listen to 'em by myself
today's music ain't got the same soul
i like that old time rock and roll
don't try to take me to a disco
you'll never even get me out on the floor
in 10 minutes i'll be late for the door
i like that old time rock and roll
still like that old time rock and roll
that kinda music just soothes the soul
i reminisce about the days of old
with that old time rock and roll
won't go to hear 'em play a tango
i'd rather hear some blues or funky old soul
there's only one sure way to get me to go
start playin' old time rock and roll
call me a relic call me what'cha will
say i'm old fashioned say i'm over the hill
today's music ain't got the same soul
i like that old time rock and roll
still like that old time rock and roll . . .
just take those old records off the shelf

Elton John - Crocodile Rock
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lilZb_9MMHQ
i remember when rock was young
me and suzie had so much fun
holding hands and skimming stones
had an old gold chevy and a place of my own
but the biggest kick i ever got
was doing a thing called the crocodile rock
while the other kids were rocking round the clock
we were hopping and bopping to the crocodile rock
well crocodile rocking is something shocking
when your feet just can't keep still
i never knew me a better time and i guess i never will
oh lawdy mama those friday nights
when suzie wore her dresses tight
and crocodile rocking was out of sight
but the years went by and the rock just died
suzie went and left me for some foreign guy
long nights crying by the record machine
dreaming of my chevy and my old blue jeans
but they'll never kill the thrills we got
burning up to the crocodile rock
learning fast as the weeks went past
we really thought the crocodile rock would last . . .
